Carola Tabela has been the fifth grade teacher at Saint Brendan School for seventeen years. Carola is also the sixth grade science and social studies teacher. Carola has been teaching in the Archdiocese for twenty years. Carola earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from the University of Rhode Island, and a Master’s degree in education from Lesley University. Carola is is presently earning her certification in the Orton-Gillingham method of reading instruction. Before teaching Carola worked at Trinity Square Repertory Company in Providence, RI making costumes for the shows. Carola has a passion for theater and opera. Her grade five class at Saint Brendan School has participated in the Opera in Education program sponsored by the Boston Lyric Opera for the past eleven years. Carola is trained in Responsive Classroom.
